Monthly meetings
We try to get together every month. In the summer, we like to take a group drive or share a meal in a park. When the weather isn't as nice, we visit museums or car shops. In December, we have a Holiday Party.
In September 2021, we drove up to Bellingham to visit the fantastic Spark Museum, and then enjoyed the curves on Chuckanut Drive
On the last weekend in October, we do a Last Dash Drive. October 2021 treated us with another gorgeous day.
Everyone got a chance to pose with his/her Sunbeam or Hillman as Greg Oliver (and his siblings) hosted a memorable June 2017 meeting.

After an hour of scale-racing thrills, we had lunch across the street at Griot's 1950's-themed diner. Rare Sunbeam manuals or memorabilia were on display on the "Show 'n Tell" table. We elected club officers for 2016 and celebrated the past year of fun and diverse club events. Race Results:

2014 Annual General MeetingOur 2014 annual general meeting was held at the 125th Street Grill in Seattle. We had a delicious lasagna lunch in the company of friends.
We also re-elected club officers, caught up on club news and business, and shared stories from recent events. Dick Sanders returned with another challenging "Boxes of Mystery" game. Budd Bennion delighted us with great door prizes. And everyone enjoyed the "show & tell" exhibits. |

Bloedel Reserve Tour on Bainbridge IslandWe had a great turnout for our tour of the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. Paul Sanders organized a private tour of the grounds where we learned about the history of the property.
"Unique among public gardens in the United States, The Bloedel Reserve was created by Prentice Bloedel and his wife, Virginia, who resided on the property from 1951 until 1986. The son of a prominent lumber company owner... in the late 1920s, he was called upon by his father to take the helm of the family timber business. He took an early retirement from the MacMillan Bloedel Timber Company in 1950 to devote the balance of his life to the creation of the gardens of what is now The Bloedel Reserve. Although he was advised by and worked with noted landscape architects, including Thomas Church, Richard Haag, Fujitaro Kubota, and Iain Robertson, the overall vision for The Reserve’s gardens was his alone." After our relaxing tour, Paul and Camilla hosted a lovely lunch at their home. Thank you both for organizing such a wonderful event. |

Vintage Racing Motors in Redmond, WA
Our March meeting was held at Vintage Racing Motors in Redmond, WA and was attended by nearly 30 people! Owner Byron Sanborn treated us all to a tour of their shop and meticulously described the attributes and specifications of the many diverse vintage race cars they are working on. Many thanks to Wayne and Sharon Reuter who arranged this meeting for us.
2012 Sunbeam Northwest
The weather cooperated to make Sunbeam Northwest a great event! Many people arrived on Thursday afternoon and we set up our chairs on the lawn outside the rooms and got the weekend started off with stories and libations.
Friday morning started with the Concours which was short drive down the hill to Marathon Park on Capital Lake. After judging, we enjoyed a Rallye through the Tumwater valley. Saturday began early with our autocross event. Each person got 6 runs to try and reduce their run times. The course once again provided for some fast speeds. By 3:00pm the fun was over and back we went to the hotel for more fraternizing. The event wrapped up with a short awards ceremony on Sunday morning where the winners received their trophies and door prizes were given away in between presentations.
